For dressage, be that schooling at home or in the competition arena, there are two standard sized arenas used. The difference between the two is that one is longer and therefore has more markers or letters around the edge.
The two sizes are the 20m wide by 40m long, which is usually shortened to the phrase '20m x 40m' and the longer arena measuring 20m x 60m.
